Maracanã Stadium - Rio De Janeiro (BRASIL)



The Maracanã Stadium is a football stadium in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, better known by its original name Maracanã.
It was inaugurated in 1950 for the world championship; the Maracana has a structure that covers a total area of 304,284 m², is one of the largest sports facilities in the world.
The Maracanã was completely refurbished for the Confederations Cup in 2013, later it hosted the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics Games.
