The Burj Khalifa (Arabic: برج خليفة, Burǧ Halifa, "Khalifa Tower", which could mean "the Emir Khalifa Tower" as "Tower of the Caliph"), formerly known as Burj Dubai, is a skyscraper Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
It is the hightest structure ever built by man, 829.8 meters, with a significant competitive edge in terms of height than any other building.
Its construction began September 21, 2004; the external structure was completed on 1 October 2009 and was officially opened to the public on January 4, 2010.
